Normally, Adult novels do not intrigue me. It is only because my boyfriend signed me up for a subscription box that I received this book. However, the psychological thriller-aspect of this novel drew me in, and I am glad that I took a chance on this book.
I Let You Go by Clare Mackintosh follows the aftermath of an unfortunate car accident in which 5-year old Jacob was killed, leaving his mother devastated and the killer on the run.

My Review of I Let You Go by Clare Mackintosh:
Psychological thrillers intrigue me, although I thought this novel was a plain “who-done-it” mystery. I was wrong.
This book follows the story of Jenna as she grieves after the accident, and the detectives who are searching for Jacob’s killer.
Clare Mackintosh’s writing is absolutely incredible. There are plot twists galore, and with every turning page you delve deeper into the stories of Jenna and the detectives.
An absolute 10/10. Clare Mackintosh gives the reader just enough information to leave the readers intrigued, but keeps enough that her plot twists are entirely unpredictable. At least to me!
There is so much more than meets the eyes here. At first, the beginning of the book bored me. It was a little too sad for me, and I didn’t understand where the plot was going. But then BAM! Clare Mackintosh worked her magic and I was absolutely HOOKED. An incredible page turner.
I loved I Let You Go by Clare Mackintosh, and I think it is definitely one of the best adult novels I have ever read. While I did not have incredibly high expectations for this story, the ending completely blew me away.
I give it a straight up 5/5 stars.
